Coronavirus Travel Updates

We have created this page to keep you up-to-date on the latest policies from the major travel suppliers.  This is a rapidly changing situation and we will do our best to keep your informed.


All Cruise Lines

-- All Cruise lines have cancelled their sailings through April 10, 11, or 12.  They are offering a 100% refund on these sailings or a future cruise credit greater than 100%. See the individual lines for more detail.

-- To help ensure the safety and well-being of all guests and crew worldwide, effective immediately, all guest who are 70 years of age and older must provide a Certificate of Medical Fitness to Travel form prior to embarkation.  It must be signed by a licensed medical professional and dated no more than seven days prior to travel.  Those who do not present the form will be denied boarding and issued a future cruise credit.


Carnival -- All sailings cancelled through April 12.  Update expected on 3/27.  Receive a 100% refund or a 100% Future Cruise Credit plus $300 per stateroom shipboard credit for sailings of 5 days or less or $600 for 6 days or longer when you rebook your cruise.  Must book by 12/31/2021 and can travel up to 12/31/20222.  For sailings after April 12 offering $50 to $200 shipboard credit for travelers cruising between now and May 31 and $50 to $100 for cruises from June to September.  Also,can cancel within 3 days for cruises leaving in March, by March 31 for cruises in April and 30 days prior to sailing for cruises in June through September.  Will provide a 100% Future Cruise Credit that can be used up to one year from original sailing date.  For more information on everything Carnival is doing to ensure the safety and health of its passengers and crew see https://www.carnival.com/health-and-sailing-update


Royal Caribbean - [UPDATED 3/26/20 AT 10AM]  All sailings cancelled through May 11 and Alaska through July 1.  Any passengers affected by these cancellations and wishing to rebook will automatically receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit to be used by December 31, 2021.  Alternatively, you can receive a full refund if you choose not to rebook.

Norwegian Cruises -- all sailings are cancelled from March 13 to April 11.   Guests scheduled to sail from March 18 to April 11 can receive a 125% future cruise credit good through December 31, 2022 or a 100% refund of the fare paid.

Updated Policies and Protocols

Peace of Mind policy.  Guests booked for sailings through September 30 can cancel up to 48 hours prior to sailing for a 100% Future Cruise Credit to be used on ANY NCL sailing embarking on or before December 31,2022.  


Disney Cruises -- cancelled all departures starting March 14 through April 12th.  Guest on these cruises can choose to receive a 125% future cruise credit good from 15 months from original sailing date or a 100% refund of the fare paid.

Disney World (Orlando)-- closed from March 16 until April 1.  Disney Resort hotels will be closing at 5pm on Friday, March 20 through the end of the month.  Disney Springs will be closing all Disney owned and operated locations, including ships and restaurants beginning Tuesday, March 17 through the end of the month..  Unused theme park tickets are not refundable but can be used at a later date.

Disneyland (California) -- closed from March 14 to end of month. The hotels of the Disneyland Resort will remain open until Monday, March 16.  Downtown Disney will be closing all Disney owned and operated locations, including ships and restaurants beginning Tuesday, March 17 through the end of the month..

Universal Studios -- Both Hollywood and Orlando parks are closed from March 16 until March 31 or April 1.  Hotels and CityWalk are open

Las Vegas Hotels

MGM Resorts International will close casino operations on March 16 and hotel operations the following day.  They will not accept hotel reservations earlier than May 1.  Hotels included in the closing are Aria, Bellagio, Delano, Excalibur, Luxor, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, New York-New York, NoMad, Park MGM, Signature at MGM Grand.


Wynn Resorts will close Wynn Las Vegas and Encore at 6pm on March 17 and will be closed a minimum of 2 weeks, at which time they will re-evaluate the situation. 


Iberostar Resorts -- Closed all resorts, except 3, in Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Brazil through April 30.  Remaining open are Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya and Selection Playa Mita in Mexico, and Selection Bravo in Dominican Republic.  For guests booked through 4/30, no show and cancellation penalties are waived.  Can make changes to another resort in same category without penalty.  For guests booking by 4/30 for 5/1-12/21/20 can cancel within 24 hours of stay without penalty. Within 24 hours of stay is a 1 night penalty.
